‘Stupid Colour Prevention’ is a campaign that uses comedic scenarios to raise awareness of making design more accessible to people who are colour blind. I wanted to highlight the issues within design that people with colour blindness experience. For example, when information relies on colour to get the message across, like if some data says “look at the red graph” but a colour blind person wouldn’t know which one to look at.
I wanted the campaign to have a humorous tone to engage the audience and help them to retain the information and point of the campaign. For the campaign, I produced 3 posters, a ‘Survival to being Colour Blind’ and 2 stop-motion videos that act out some (dramatisced) scenarios colour blind people may find themselves in.
